JSD is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join its team. The location of the position will be in various locations nationwide depending on projects, with the head office located in Portlaoise, Co. Laois. The position will report directly to the Managing Director and/or Contracts Manager.Primary Responsibilities of the Role:Overseeing building workUndertaking surveysSetting out sites and organising facilitiesSupervisionLiaising with clients, sub-contractors and other professional staffChecking and preparing site reports, designs and drawingsProviding technical adviceSkills and QualificationsA Degree in Engineering3-4 years’ work experience in a similar roleSelf-starter with proven ability to work on his/her own initiative and the ability to work to tight deadlinesExcellent communication skillsCommercial awarenessTeam workingTechnical skillsAn eye for detailProblem solvingManagement skills
