The bus driver has the primary responsibility for ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of the children, staff, and volunteers during bus transportation to and from the center and on day trips.It is also the role of the bus driver to:Guarantee that the bus is always clean and in proper working conditionDetermine and follow safe and efficient bus routesEnsure all children are in age-appropriate child safety restraintsAssist in ensuring child/staff ratio is maintained on the busMaintain all transportation records required by the crèche.Ensure bus evacuation drills are held at least monthlyEvacuate children in case of emergencyEssential SkillsPatience and kindness towards children and staff.Cleaning and maintenance of buses and Creche vehicles.Excellent Listening and Communication SkillsAbility to identify and escalate issues where necessaryPrevious experience driving a minimum 8-seater bus.HOURS OF WORK:25 hours per week, over 5 days.
